Technician Training

The training course of aviation technician type rating training comprises the following majors: Airframe and Engine, Avionics. The training course is geared for training technicians to get familiarized and supplied with theory and practice to get ratings on a new type of helicopter other than the ones the technicians are holding.

VNH TRAINING offers type rating training courses on: Eurocopter EC 155 Dauphin, Eurocopter EC 225, Super Puma AS332-L2, MI 17, MI 172, Eurocopter EC 120, AW189, Cabri G2, Bell 505 helicopters.

ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS

To register the training courses of VNH TRAINING, applicants shall meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum age:
    18.
  • Health certificate:
    Valid medical certificate approved by an authorized medical center.
  • Academic level:
    At least – High School Graduation and Aviation Technical School degrees.
  • Languages:
    Vietnamese and/or English fluency competence (at least TOEIC 450) Furthermore, trainees should have capability to use the language in maintenance materials, to explain contents and to write down issues (via Entrance Test of VNH Training).
  • Experience:
    Aviation technical officer, holding a valid maintenance certificate on the helicopter training issued by the Authority.
  • Personal identification papers and others:
    Passport, certification of police office or local authority and other related papers.

TRAINING PROGRAM

To get certified for the training course, trainees shall be required to successfully complete:

  • Theory training:

    At least 120 hours on single-engine helicopters - At least 200 hours on multi-engine helicopters.

    Written tests in compliance to the requirements of CAAV-assigned examiner.

  • Practice training:
    Practice sections in accordance with each phase of theory segment. Proficiency exams in compliance to the requirements of CAAV-assigned examiners. Valid CAAV certificate of skill assessment.
  • HEALTH CERTIFICATE
    Valid medical certificate.
